Research shows that children as young as six are worried about climate change. It’s important to support children emotionally when teaching them about this sensitive and often distressing subject.

That’s why we have worked with experts to create resources to use in school that focus on feelings alongside facts.

Teachers’ guide

This guide was created in partnership with Caroline Hickman, a psychotherapist and lecturer at the University of Bath who works with children and young people experiencing eco-anxiety. It contains key advice for teachers to enable them to deliver climate change education in a way that supports children’s emotional wellbeing.
