One Ocean. One Chance.
In January, world leaders are meeting at the first-ever Oceans COP. Help us champion ocean protection in the UK and beyond.
In July, the UK ratified the Global Ocean Treaty, a landmark step towards protecting the high seas. But closer to home, overfishing, industrial supertrawlers, coastal erosion and the loss of marine life are all still on the rise.
Most of the UK’s Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) are protected on paper only. We need the UK Government to turn them into real ocean sanctuaries, where marine life can recover and biodiversity can be restored.
After nearly a decade, Blue Planet III is here. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough and filmed over four years, it takes us deep into the ocean’s fascinating ecosystems. We’re launching this campaign alongside it to the turn the nation’s love of the oceans into action.
Our Ocean Needs Us Now
Ban Destructive Fishing
Industrial Fishing vessels are tearing through the UK’s so-called protected waters, killing seabirds, dolphins. seals, and more. Sign our petition calling on the Environment Secretary to ban them from our Marine Protected Areas.
