Give your MP a climate reality check
Join the Local Mass Lobby this September—sign up to organise a meeting with your MP.
How it works
Voters are meeting with their MPs in their own communities to push for bold, practical action on the climate and nature crisis.
From 13–20 September, thousands will join local meetings to share their concerns, and demand their MPs do more to protect the people and places we love.
Wherever you live, this is your chance to build power in your community.
What we’re asking for
Oil and gas giants have knowingly pushed us to the brink of climate breakdown while making staggering profits. Millions are paying the price for climate damage, both here and abroad.
We’re asking MPs to sign the Make Polluters Pay pledge, calling for the biggest polluters to pay their fair share towards the costs of climate damage – costs that their constituents, and frontline communities across the globe, are already paying.
You don’t have to do this alone!
Team up with like-minded people nearby, and pressure your MP together.
Can’t see a team in your area? Why not organise your own?

Yes, please do! There are three levels of commitment for organisers:
- Level 1: A group that meets their MP and presents demands.
- Level 2: Brings a broad range of voices into the conversation (e.g. schools, businesses, NHS workers).
- Level 3: Develops a long-term plan to influence their MP with local networking and power-mapping.
There’s lots of support on offer, so don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before.
Don’t worry! You don’t need to be a campaigner, or to have met your MP before, or have even spoken about climate or nature.
We can provide support through training sessions, a workbook, and one-on-one contact with a support team member.
At the Local Mass Lobby we’re asking MPs to:
- Add their name to the Make Polluters Pay pledge ‘I pledge to call for the biggest polluters to pay their fair share towards the costs of climate damage – costs that my constituents, and frontline communities across the globe, are already paying’.
- Share a photo on social media with the ‘Make Polluters Pay for climate damage’ sign
- Raise these issues at Treasury questions or with the Chancellor
- Sign the EDM ‘The Climate Finance Fund (Fossil Fuels and Pollution) Bill’
- Ask the government to join the Global Solidarity Levies Taskforce
- Organise or participate in a parliamentary debate on making polluters pay
When you sign up, we’ll provide you with all the information you need for a successful meeting with your MP.
