Join the Greenpeace Call Team
Make new Greenpeace supporters feel welcome, and help them get started. Do it from home or wherever you like!

As part of Greenpeace’s Call Team, you’ll help turn new supporters into dedicated activists and volunteers.

It’s a powerful way to boost the impact of our world-changing campaigns, through friendly one-to-one conversations.

The Call Team is perfect for people who can’t easily do in-person campaigning.
No cold-calling
You’ll be welcoming people who’ve already signed up as Greenpeace supporters – helping them out with something they’ve chosen to do.
Zero cost, full privacy
No need to use your phone number or minutes – everything runs through our software.
Do it from anywhere
From home, on your break, up a mountain – all you need is a quiet place and an internet connection.
Friendly, welcoming team
Work together with like-minded people as part of a tight-knit community.
“Greenpeace supporters are always great to talk to and it feels like we’re all driving forward change together. If anyone is on the fence about joining, I’d say go for it.”
Rose, Call Team Shift Leader

By the end, you’ll feel confident, supported, and ready to start making calls that inspire action.
Questions answered
No – you’ll only call people who’ve signed up as Greenpeace supporters. They might be:
- People who signed up for a Greenpeace event – asking if they can still make it.
- People who expressed an interest in volunteering – helping them find a suitable role.
- People who support our cause – asking them if they want to join an event or local group.
Although you might not know them, you’ll very often share the same values as the people you speak to, and have lovely conversations.
Call Team members have told us that they got to speak with so many people who also care about climate and nature, and howthat helped them feel more hopeful.
No, we’re using software called Callhub that allows you to make calls via your computer or a mobile app. All you’ll need is an internet connection, a quiet place, and a computer or phone that can run Callhub (most can). You won’t need to use your own phone number, nor will it cost you any money. Callhub allows us to protect your privacy, as well as that of the person you’re calling.
We recommend using a computer to make calls, as team members have found this the easiest way to make calls. If you have headphones, that’s great – they will improve the quality of your microphone. That’s all you need!
Call team volunteering is fully remote, but the calls themselves happen during weekly or fortnightly shifts with a smaller sub-team. You’ll connect during check-ins, share experiences during debriefs, and become part of a close-knit team. Each sub-team is led by an experienced volunteer who’s there to answer your questions and help you get comfortable with calling.
Each shift lasts for two hours.
No, the Call Team is open to anybody! Your first step will be joining one of our online Call Team training sessions, during which we’ll share anything you need to know.
Yes, the Call Team works fully remote. The training is online, as well as your weekly or fortnightly calling shifts are. You’ll also join our online volunteer network on Slack, where you can communicate with all Call Team members and other volunteers in the network.
“Before volunteering for Greenpeace I felt isolated due to health problems, and fearful and frustrated about climate change. Now my confidence has improved and I am so motivated. I have moved from feeling scared to feeling hopeful.”
