You’ll also get regular check-ins with a Greenpeace staff member by phone. You can use these one-on-one conversations to troubleshoot any issues and get help preparing your workshops.

Workshops take place in schools, community groups, businesses and at festivals. They usually last around an hour. Organisers can choose from three standard workshops, tailored to different age groups.

Greenpeace handles all the initial screening of workshop requests, so you won’t have to field dozens of enquiries directly from organisers. Here’s how it works.

  1. Organisers send an initial request to Greenpeace with info about their group and what they need.
  2. If a request comes in that matches your area and availability, we’ll contact you to share the details and find out if you’re free.
  3. If you accept, we’ll put you in touch with the organiser to make the practical arrangements for the workshop.

You can also promote the programme to schools, businesses and community groups in your area to help book a workshop near you.

No, this is an unpaid volunteer role, but all reasonable expenses will be covered either by your host or by Greenpeace.
