Throughout 2019, people power and activism against the climate emergency have made headlines around the world. It’s the end of a busy year of school strikes, direct actions against fossil fuel companies, and an epic expeditions to learn more about our vulnerable oceans.

From tackling single-use plastic, to protests against oil drilling in the North Sea, and standing in solidarity with Indigenous land defenders fighting deforestation in the Amazon, Greenpeace supporters have seen out the decade with powerful activism against the climate and nature emergencies.

This fight is more important than ever. The next decade is crucial for exposing global environmental damage and working to build a green and peaceful future. For now, here are some highlights from 2019.
