Despite government promises to “take back control” of our waters after Brexit, huge international fishing companies are still ravaging the UK’s waters legally.

Destructive industrial fishing in Marine Protected Areas is a disaster for delicate ocean life, fishing communities and the economy.

Local fishing communities are desperate for action.

Greenpeace Local Groups are coming together to raise money and awareness for our ocean protection campaign.

Every event will be different, but they’ll include things like:

  • Ocean-themed film screenings
  • Music events
  • Ocean-themed quiz nights
  • Sponsored walks and swims
  • Ocean-themed face painting
  • Friendly volunteers ready to chat about ocean protection
  • A chance to join the campaign or donate

The events are open to everyone, so you are welcome to bring friends, family or just drop down on your own and say hello.

There will be events happening online and in-person across the country – find your nearest event here:
