Volunteering in the Greenpeace office

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Greenpeace, no more so than in the London office. Opportunities are frequently available in a wide range of areas, from office admin and data entry to painting and carpentry – all vital in helping to defend our natural world.

When it comes to saving the planet, there’s so much work to do that we need all the help we can get. People who are generous enough to donate their free time in support of Greenpeace’s work enable us to do so much more.

Roles pop up all the time, often at short notice, and can be for just a few hours or on projects that run for several weeks or a year. And here’s just a selection of the tasks that need an extra pair of hands:

  • design and editing
  • desk research projects
  • event coordination
  • painting, sewing and carpentry
  • data entry and analysis
  • office admin and mailouts

All volunteer opportunities are based in Islington, London, 10am-6pm on weekdays. You’ll need to be over 18 and within suitable travelling distance of the office, as travel expenses can only be reimbursed for the Greater London area.

How to apply

Roles are advertised on Greenwire, the Greenpeace volunteering website. You’ll need to take a minute to set up an account, and then join the office volunteering group where opportunities are advertised. You adjust your settings to receive an email notification when new ads are posted, so you don’t miss out.
